M2M Universal motherboard is designed for developing and manufacturing M2M applications with GSM modules produced by Siemens.
It was designed to provide maximal utilization of all features of modules TC63,TC65, MC75, AC75, XT65, XT75 and even with new „i“ versions.
H15/25 modules can be used with cable reduction. There are pins around the board's borders with all module's interfaces – GPIO, ADC, I2C/SPI, AUDIO, 2x RS232 and others. No madness with Molex now!
Two RS232 channels can be switched to 3V levels if needed.
Next, the motherboard features switching power supplies for module powering and charging of attached LiIon accumulator.The motherboard also contains tipping SIM card holder and there is an option for adding external SIM holder with connector. Version 2.0 is based on rich experience with previous versions and brings the following news:
• Configurable watchdog - the time WatchDog can be set in the range of 10-150s or 1-15 minutes. Restart GSM module itself is carried out off the power for 1 minute.
For refreshing of Watchdog can be used GPIO 9 or 10
Watchdog can be also completely shut down.
• Watchdog firmware can be changed according to customer's request.
• Switching voltage levels of serial lines - each line is now possible to set on 3VTTL or RS232 levels.
• Serial lines in the RS232 mode works now also during accumulators charging.
• Mounting holes for a new series of modules TC63i, 65i
• External connector for state LED GSM module - Led SYNC
• New mounting holes for mounting motherboard Usage: - application development, debugging
